74 US airports, ranked below by how much federal data we hold on each. Each page carries the traffic, reliability and safety figures we have computed, with the period each one covers and the dataset it came from.

Why this list is not every US airport

There are hundreds of commercial-service airports in the United States. We publish a page for an airport only when we hold at least 4 distinct validated statistics about it. Below that threshold a page would be two stray numbers and a heading, which helps nobody and is the pattern search engines correctly treat as filler.

228 airports appear somewhere in our statistics database. 74 clear the 4-statistic threshold and have a page. The other 154 do not get a URL at all, rather than a thin one. As the data grows, more will qualify.

How these figures are made

Every statistic on an airport page is computed from a federal dataset we pull ourselves, stored with its period, sample size, uncertainty and caveats, and checked against that stored row before the page can publish. Our standards are on the editorial guidelines page, and corrections are logged at /corrections.
